What is the LAB

The Lab is the practical training environment of The Volleyball Project.

It’s where players take what they know and apply it under pressure, in structured, game-based situations.

Training focuses on building skills that are not just technically correct, but reliable in real matches.

The goal is simple: improve how you move, think, and perform within the game.

who is it for

The Lab is designed for competitive players who want to improve their performance beyond standard training.

It is not for beginners.

Players entering the program are expected to have a foundation in the game and be ready to refine how they make decisions, move, and execute under pressure.

Typically:

  • 18+ athletes

  • CVL or equivalent level

  • Players looking to transition toward higher competition

how it  works

Each Lab block follows a structured development focus.

Players don’t just train skills, they go through a guided process that builds understanding, application, and consistency.

Sessions:

Technical Work
Refining movement, positioning, and execution fundamentals.

Constraints & Controlled Drills
Designing situations that remove shortcuts and reinforce correct habits.

Game-Based Application
Applying skills in realistic, decision-driven environments.

Performance Feedback
Clear, measurable feedback to track improvement over time

What you get

The Lab is designed to accelerate development by targeting the areas that actually impact performance.

You develop:

  • Better decision-making under pressure

  • More efficient movement and positioning

  • Greater consistency in execution

  • Clear understanding of your own game

Players leave with skills they can rely on in competition, not just in training.

Not just more volleyball.

Better volleyball.

important

the lab is in a closed trial while we develop the experience with a small group of players to build and refine the full training environment.
